Faroe Islands elopement packages
Three packages, priced simply. My flights from Copenhagen and my accommodation on the islands are included in every one, so the price you see is the price you pay for photography.
Choose by how much time you want, not by a list of extras. More hours mostly means more room: room to wait out a shower, to drive to one more valley, or to stay out for the late light.
Free dates still available for 2027.
I take on a maximum of three Faroe Islands weddings and elopements a year, so every couple gets my full attention.
Full day · Extended day · Two days
The packages
-
Full day, 8 hours
Enough time for the whole arc of a smaller day. We start with the two of you getting ready, move through your ceremony and two or three locations, and finish with portraits when the light softens.
- Up to 8 hours of photography on one day
- A few locations, planned around driving times and light
- Ideal for elopements with no guests or a handful of people
From $2,999
-
Extended day, 12 hours
The full story of your day, without watching the clock. Twelve hours leaves room for a slow morning, a ceremony with guests, a dinner, and a weather change or two in between.
- Up to 12 hours of photography on one day
- More locations, or more time at each one
- A good fit for summer, when sunset in the Faroes falls late in the evening
From $3,499
-
Two days
Your ceremony day, plus a second day to explore the islands without rushing. If the weather closes in on one day, the other usually gives us something different.
- Photography across two days (flexible, at least 8 hours per day)
- The most flexibility for weather and light
- Time for places that take longer to reach, or a second outfit and a slower pace
From $5,499

Booking
How booking works
- 01 Send me a message with your rough dates and ideas.
- 02 We talk it through, by video call or email, whichever you prefer.
- 03 I send a proposal and contract. A 30% deposit secures your date, 40% is due right after the photoshoot, and the final 30% when your photos are ready, before delivery.
- 04 We plan locations, timing and weather backups together.
- 05 I fly to the Faroe Islands and photograph your day.
Payment
Payment and changes
Payment is split into three parts, so nothing is due all at once, and it is by bank transfer:
- 30% deposit when you book. It secures your date, and I book my flights and accommodation for it.
- 40% right after the photoshoot.
- 30% when your photos are ready, before I deliver them.
Plans change, especially with weather and travel. Here is how I handle it:
- Weather. A rainy or windy day is not a reason to cancel. We adjust locations and timing on the day, and with the two-day package we can move the main shoot to the better day.
- Rescheduling. If you need to move your date, tell me as early as you can. I will move your booking once, at no cost, to another date I have free, if you tell me at least 45 days before.
- Cancelling. The 30% deposit is non-refundable, because I turn down other dates and book travel once you confirm.
- If I can't make it. If I am ever unable to photograph your day, because of illness or an emergency, I will try to find you an available photographer. If that is not possible, I will return your deposit.
The full terms are in your contract.
On location
This is what a working day here looks like: wind, wet boots, and waiting for the light.
Questions
Questions about booking
What should we ask an elopement photographer before booking?
Ask to see full galleries from places like the one you're choosing, not just highlights. Ask how they handle bad weather, whether travel is included, and what happens if the plan changes on the day. For the Faroe Islands, it's fair to ask whether they've worked there in wind, rain and fog. I have, and I'm happy to talk you through how I adapt.
Do you help with planning?
Yes, it's part of every package. I help with locations, timing and a weather backup, and I can point you toward local officiants, hair and makeup artists and florists once your booking is confirmed. The practical side of the trip, like car and accommodation, we talk through on our calls.
Can we combine the Faroe Islands with Iceland or Copenhagen?
Yes, and many couples do. Icelandair flies between Reykjavík (Keflavík) and the Faroe Islands, and from late October 2026 the route runs year-round. Copenhagen has direct flights to the islands all year with Atlantic Airways, and with SAS for most of the year. I'm based in Copenhagen and also photograph there, so a few days in the city before or after is easy to add (aleksjakobsons.com). I can also photograph the Iceland part of your trip, so just ask.
Are your travel costs included?
Yes. My flights and accommodation are in every package price. The only travel you pay for is your own.
How far ahead should we book?
Ideally 6–9 months ahead, so there is time to plan properly. Summer accommodation and rental cars on the islands also book up early, so it helps to plan both at the same time.
